Yelp Responder

Overview

Yelp Responder automates Yelp message replies using configured rules and AI—helping you respond faster to Yelp leads and messages without living inside the Yelp app all day.

How to access

Settings → Integrations → Yelp Responder
Requires the integration to be enabled for your business (config-gated).

What you can do today

  • Connect Yelp Responder under Integrations (credentials and enable flag per admin setup).
  • Configure automated response behavior as exposed in integration settings.
  • Route Yelp conversations into your broader comms workflow where linked.
Exact toggles and prompts depend on your account’s integration version—check the Integrations panel for current fields.

Prerequisites

  • Admin access to Settings → Integrations.
  • Active Yelp business account with messaging enabled.
  • OpenAI Setup if AI-generated replies are part of your configuration.

Step-by-step

Connect Yelp Responder (admin)

  1. Settings → Integrations.
  2. Find Yelp Responder.
  3. Enter required API/credentials and enable the integration.
  4. Save and run any Test action if shown.

Verify responses

  1. Send a test message to your Yelp business listing (or use Yelp’s test tools if provided).
  2. Confirm an automated or suggested reply appears per your rules.
  3. Monitor Messaging Timeline or Yelp directly for edge cases.

Current limitations

  • Config-gated — not enabled on all accounts by default.
  • Covers Yelp messaging, not full Google review automation (see Review Management).
  • AI replies should be reviewed for brand tone and accuracy—fully unattended auto-send may not suit every business.
  • Yelp API policy changes can affect availability; integration may require re-auth.
