Overview
Reports turn operational data into profit, commission, and performance views—supporting weekly reviews without exporting everything to spreadsheets.
How to access
Reports from the main menu — common entry points:
- Invoice profit —
/reports/invoice-profit - Commission breakdown and related reports under Reports submenu (per navigation config)
Requires
reports:view or equivalent permission.What you can do today
- Run invoice profit reports with filters (date range, team, etc.).
- View commission breakdown where enabled for your business.
- Export or print depending on report screen capabilities.
- Complement dashboard widgets with deeper tabular reports.
Prerequisites
- Reports permission.
- Invoices, jobs, and cost data entered consistently for meaningful profit numbers.
- Commission rules configured under settings where your business uses commission tracking.
Step-by-step
Invoice profit report
- Reports → Invoice profit (or menu label shown).
- Set date range and filters.
- Run report → review revenue, cost, margin columns.
- Export if button available.
Commission report
- Reports → Commission (if in menu).
- Select period and salesperson/technician filters.
- Review calculated commission lines against payouts policy.
Use in weekly meeting
- Pull invoice profit for last 7 days.
- Cross-check with Dashboard pipeline widgets.
- Assign follow-ups on low-margin jobs.
Current limitations
- Not a full BI suite—no arbitrary drag-and-drop report designer in main app (see Data Explorer).
- Real-time job costing may lag until invoices post.
- Multi-location consolidated GL reporting may need ServiceFlow Accounting.
- Custom report builder for end users is limited.
Roadmap
- Saved report subscriptions emailed weekly.
- Deeper marketing attribution (campaign → won revenue).
